Betsy O’Rourke served as the Chief Commercial Officer for Xanterra
Travel Collection since 2012. Xanterra Travel Collection includes multiple national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Death Valley, Zion, Mt. Rushmore, Rocky Mountain), tour companies VBT Biking, Country
Walkers and Holiday Vacations, plus the Grand Canyon Railway and Windstar Cruises. Marketing, sales, revenue management, reservations and deployment teams reported into O’Rourke who was responsible for the overall brand strategy and revenue for the portfolio. She picked up direct responsibility of the commercial functions of Windstar in 2020. Prior to joining Xanterra, she was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Royal Caribbean International, where she led the global marketing team and the launch of Oasis and Allure of the Seas as well as the design of the new Quantum class ships. Prior to her role at Royal Caribbean International, O’Rourke served as SVP Marketing and Communications at Wyndham Worldwide. While at Wyndham she led the expansion, redesign and renaming of the original hotel loyalty program to include hotel, timeshare and rental properties. Before Wyndham Worldwide, O’Rourke was the SVP of Marketing for the Travel Industry Association, leading the industry recovery efforts from 9/11 and creating a cooperative marketing program that was the foundation of Brand USA. A graduate of UC Berkeley, O’Rourke spent many years living abroad and speaks French and Italian. She is married with two children.
